Every employer in the SYPA Pension Fund must prepare and publish a written statement detailing how they, as the employer, intend to exercise certain employer discretions. This is known as a discretions policy and once finalised, a copy of the policy should be shared with us.

Once we've received an employer’s discretions policy, it is published below to allow you, as scheme members, to check what your employer’s policies are on issues such as flexible retirement and early payment of unreduced benefits.

Some of the discretions listed also need the agreement of the fund as well as your employer. The governance compliance statement describes how we'll exercise our discretionary powers.

If your employer is listed below but there's no policy attached, it's because a policy hasn't been shared with us.
